About the institution:
Established in 2021, MIT, Bengaluru, is a premier engineering institution operating as a constituent campus of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), which is ranked 3rd among universities in NIRF 2025. About our team and project:
Continuum Motorsports (CMM) is the formula student racing team of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Bengaluru, India. We are an elite group of student engineers currently designing and manufacturing a high-performance, EV racing vehicle to compete at national engineering levels such as Formula Bharat and Supra SAE. Our team was recently established in December 2025. The team is divided into 3 major subparts; Management, Mechanical and electrical which are further divided subsystem wise.

Management:

Finance & Sponsorship: This subsystem looks into the finances, budgeting of the entire team and approaches various companies interested to partner up with us.
Administration and Operations: This subsystems looks into smooth operation of the team by managing all the subsystems and organising taskphases.
Media and GD: They look after the social handles of our team, responsible for the managing the media in the form of photographs, videos, reels, etc.They are also responsible for the graphic designing of banners, apparel, etc
Mechanical:

Structures:The Structures Subsystem of Continuum Motorsports engineers the high-strength vehicle chassis and custom aerodynamic bodywork, maximizing driver safety while optimizing structural rigidity and weight distribution for peak track performance.
Dynamics: The Dynamics Subsystem engineers the vehicle's suspension geometry, steering mechanics, and high-regen braking systems, meticulously calibrating track-handling characteristics to manage EV weight distribution and maximize tire grip for razor-sharp cornering precision .
Transmission:The Transmission Subsystem designs and optimizes the EV drivetrain assembly, managing high-torque electric motor integration to ensure seamless power delivery to the wheels through precision gear reduction, differential tuning, and lightweight packaging.
Electrical:

Electrical powertrain: The Electrical Powertrain Subsystem designs and integrates the high-voltage tractive system, managing the accumulator configuration, battery management system (BMS), and motor controller to deliver efficient, high-performance power to the electric motor.
Electrical control system: The Electrical Control System Subsystem engineers the low-voltage electronics infrastructure, developing custom telemetry, data acquisition systems, and rules-compliant safety circuits to ensure precise vehicle monitoring and driver safety.
Our electrical subsystems are currently working on the design of multi-layer printed circuit boards and specialized sensor breakout boards and various other components.
